NATIONAL BURGER DAY! 25th august 2016

Fitness fanatics can still enjoy - Our suggestion.....

Turkey burger with homemade avocado mayo on a gluten free bun & a side of homemade coleslaw.

 Shopping - 


Burgers : Turkey mince, x1 egg, 2 cloves of garlic, teaspoon dijon mustard, hand full of - Jalapeno peppers, sweet peppers, parsley, rosemary, 2 slices of gluten free bread. Gluten free buns.

Mayo - x3 egg yolks, 300ml grape seed oil, teaspoon dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons of white wine vinegar, 1 lemon, x1 smashed avocado.

Coleslaw - Carrot, white and red cabbage.

Garnish - gherkins, rocket, beef tomato


Method -


Burgers -  Chop finely all herbs, peppers and blitz 2 slices of bread to make crumbs - mix all the ingredients together and make the size of patty you desire. Pan grill with coconut oil.

Mayo - whisk egg yolks, add mustard and whisk. Gradually add about half the oil, very slowly at first and whisk continuously for 5 mins, add vinegar.  Add remaining oil and lemon juice and keep whisking. 

Avo Mayo mix - Mix a smashed avo with a little mayo for topping.

Coleslaw - Grate carrot, white and red cabbage mix with desired mayo.
